I've done for my project..

I had chosen the volunteer work at a cafe in my hometown during this summer as my EDGE project. The name of the cafe is ‘Bread, Espresso &, Korea’ and it serves beverages, including coffee and tea, panini and bread.

I observed and learned two big types of aspects of the owner, such as how he managed his store and how he led his employees. I considered the store as a small company and observed those perspectives.

For the first type of aspect, I could learn how to manage a small company such as making tables which were related to the total amount of payments for the ingredient. I could learn the better way to deal with customers and how to provide better service as well. Also, I learned how he set his strategies to target his customers, and how he changed his strategies depending on the situation.

For the second aspect, I learned how the owner led his employees. I was able to figure out what kind of leadership style that the owner had used. Also, I observed what kind of ways that he used to encourage his employees, such as offering an incentive.

Through this project, I was able to feel comfortable meeting new people and able to notice some aspects that I must consider when I will run my business in the future.
